Monument in Liminka![]() Monument to the Fallen in the Finnish War of Independence and in the Olonets Expedition was unveiled in Liminka on September 18, 1921. The inscriptions on the monument says: ”For the Fatherland” and ”Better to fall with freedom in chest Among others, on the monument can be read the name of Eino Pitkänen (May 8, 1897 – June 6, 1919), commander of the group, who fell in the Olonets Karelia in the battle near the Tuloksa Village. |
