Cenotaph in OulujokiIn the Oulujoki Cemetery located a memorial stone with the names of four warriors. None of the mentioned names were buried here. Finnish Jäger Matti Fält was wounded in German East Front in Latvia and died in German hospital in August 1917. White Guard in the Finnish War of Independence Eino Isteri was wounded in the Battle of Tampere and died in hospital there in May 1918. Finnish volunteer in Estonian War of Independence Johan Wesa was killed there in March 1919. Finnish volunteer in the Olonets Expedition Viktor Ervasti was executed by his own side in the Olonets Karelia in July 1919. |
