Derevjanka station

Derevjanka railway station is situated on a St.-Petersburg – Murmansk railroad line, at near 20 km to the South from Petrozavodsk.

The reason of occurrence of settlement was construction in 1914-1916 of Olonets railway Zvanka (nowadays Volhovstroy I) – Petrozavodsk.

There were 18 buildings and 43 inhabutants (6 Karelians and 37 Russians) in Derevjanka in 1926.

In 1925 a school was opened.

In 1948 a public library was opened in Derevjanka.
