Resolution adopted by the 1st Army Corps of the Finnish People's ArmyWe, the soldiers and commanders of the 1st Army Corps of the Finnish People's Army, after hearing and considering at the meetings the Declaration of the new People's Government of Democratic Republic of Finland, led by Kuusinen and formed by the will of the Finnish people, warmly greet our People's Government and approve all the measures mentioned in the Declaration. We swear to give all our strength and if necessary give our lives to ensure freedom and true independence of the Finnish people. While defending the implementation of the measures planned by the People's Government, we do not want a criminal war against the Soviet Union, but rather we will completely defeat the remnants of dominated Finland and now overthrown bandit gang of Cajanders and similar, like government of Tanners, who have always sold and are selling now to foreign imperialists the interests of the Finnish people and who have dragged now the Finnish people into a criminal war against the Soviet Union. We warmly greet the reunification of the Finnish and Karelian people and send warm greetings to the Soviet Union, the true friend of the Finnish people. Long live the free and independent Democratic Republic of Finland! Long live the People's Government of Finland led by Kuusinen!
