A gray granite memorial stone to fallen in the Estonian War of Independence and in the Olonets Karelia was erected in Akaa Cemetery at private expense in October 1927.
The monument contains the names of one local native who fell in the Olonets Karelia and five local natives who fell in Estonia.
Volunteer Oskari Edvard Suojanen (08.03.1901 – 03.05.1919), from the pastor's household, fell in the battle in the Olonets Karelia, near the Matrosy Village.
