The First Congress of Representatives of the Karelian Working People, inhabiting the lands of the Arkhangelsk and Olonets Gubernias and creating now the Karelian Labor Commune, sends fraternal greetings to the heroic Finnish proletariat, continuing the struggle for the freedom of the Finnish workers and peasants in the difficult conditions of the Finnish White Guard’s oppression. The Karelian Congress believes that the red banner of the Soviets will rise over Finland soon, as a result of the joint struggle of the Finnish, Russian and Karelian working people, and working Finland will be as free as the Karelian people are free in the Soviet Russia.
