The natives of Oulu left for the Olonets Karelia

On Tuesday, a unit of 130 volunteers under the command of Lieutenant Sulo Kallio left for Olonets Karelia by evening train from Oulu. They were being escorted by large crowds of people who completely filled the station platform. The temporary male quartet performed their songs in honor of the departed. New Testament was distributed among the volunteers by Young Women Christian Association.

Liitto -newspaper reports that the most of the departed were students, among others 15 boys from Oulu Finnish Lyceum. They will be joined people departed from different stations further south, so that their number in this party will eventually rise to several hundred.
