During the autumn of 1941 Finland occupied a large part of East Karelia. For the controlled territories of East Karelia, the Military Administration of East Karelia was established, which also had its own postal administration.
Finnish post stamps with an additional overprint were valid.
In 1943, the Finnish Post issued own post and charity stamp for the Military Administration of East Karelia, which was the only non-overprinted stamp, using in East Karelia.
